Our average group size is 11 travellers plus an Explore tour leader. This allows for plenty of interaction with likeminded people, but is still small enough to get close to your destination. Group sizes may vary depending on the trip type, transport, accommodation and activities, typically ranging from 5 to 16. Around half our travellers are usually solo.

The trip price includes a shared twin room with another traveller of the same sex. You can opt for a single room for an additional supplement, (available on most of our trips but may not apply to all nights - check the trip itinerary). Single supplement costs are trip-specific – see the trip pages for pricing.

Evenings are typically free for you to explore as you wish. Your tour leader can recommend local restaurants and activities and organise bookings for you. Some trips may include optional evening activities, such as a local meal or sunset boat trip. Check the trip page for a daily breakdown of included meals and activities.

Of course! People travel solo for various reasons. Whether your partner is unavailable or simply doesn’t share your travel interests, you’ll find a welcoming community on our tours.

Yes, your safety is our top priority. Travelling in a small group provides inherent security, and our tour leader is there to support the entire group. Around half of the people who travel with use do so on their own, and their ages range from 20s and 30s, to solo travellers over 50 and 60. Each tour has varying activity levels, and you should consider your own capabilities based on the trip's individual itinerary prior to booking.
